Plan the morning.
Keep the good.
Foreday's journal is a few lines in the morning and a few at night: what you're grateful for, what would make today great, and the good things that happened. Your 3 things for today go straight to the top of your task list, so the journal is also your plan.
7 days free
Journal, tasks, notes and habits included
- Morning page
- Night page
- Today's 3 become tasks
- Patterns from your own words
- Every day kept in Notes
A journal you'll actually keep, because it's two minutes and it does something.
Three questions, and your day has a plan.
The first time you open Foreday each day, the Morning page is waiting: 3 things you're grateful for, 3 things that would make today great, and one affirmation. Tap Save and the 3 great things are at the top of today's list, in gold.
Typing one you already have on your list? Foreday offers your existing task, so nothing gets copied twice.
It opens by itself
First open of the day lands on Morning, on your phone and computer alike. Not today? Tap Skip today.
Three short prompts
Grateful, great, affirmation. Short enough to finish before the coffee's ready.
A nudge at 8 AM
Only while your Morning page is still empty. Pick the time, or turn it off.
Three good things. One to do better.
From 7 PM the Night page opens once: 3 good things that happened today, and how you could have made today better, in one to three lines. It's the part of the day you'd otherwise forget by Sunday.
Night doesn't need Morning. Skipped the morning? The night page still works.
The Night prompts
The good things, then one honest line about tomorrow. No essay required.
Next to your habits
Your journal lives on each day's page, beside that day's habits and a notes box for anything else.
An evening check-in
At 8 PM, only if something is still open: your Night page, and any habits left.
Your own words, read back to you.
A journal is most useful weeks later, and that's the part nobody has time for. Foreday's Insight card looks back over your recent Morning and Night lines and points out what keeps coming up: the same "better" line, a thing you're grateful for again and again, what your good days have in common.
Foreday finds the pattern; the AI only words it, and a line with a made-up number is thrown away. Don't want that? One switch in Settings keeps the AI out of your journal.
Every day becomes a note
Each day you write in is kept as one note in Notes, in a Journal folder by month. Notes search finds it.
Your switch, your journal
Turn off AI insight from my journal and the Insight sticks to your habits and morning tasks.

A journal that moves your day
Paper journals stay on the nightstand. Foreday's journal sits with your tasks, habits and notes, so what you write turns into what you do.
Gold at the top of your list
The morning's 3 great things lead today's tasks all day, in gold. Tomorrow the gold is gone and you start fresh.
Done shows up in the journal
Finish one of your great things and the Morning page marks it Done ✓, so you see the plan get done.
Ask about your week
The AI helper can find a journal day when you ask, like "when did I last feel this good?". You can turn that off too.
Habits that go with good days
Because your habits and journal sit together, the Insight can tell which habits go with your better days.
Four apps, one place
Most people keep a journal, a to-do list, a habit tracker and a notes app. Foreday is all four, and the AI connects them: your morning plan becomes your task list, and your night page shows which habits go with your best days.
The short daily kind of journal

Questions about the journal
Straight answers, including what it doesn't do yet.
What do I write in the Foreday journal?
In the morning: 3 things you're grateful for, 3 things that would make today great, and one affirmation. At night: 3 good things that happened today, and how you could have made today better (one to three lines). Each day also has a notes box for anything else. The questions are fixed for now; you cannot write your own yet.
How long does it take?
A few minutes in the morning and a few at night. The first time you open Foreday each day it opens on the Morning page (tap Skip today whenever you like), and from 7 PM once on the Night page. You can switch that off in Settings, Journal.
What happens to my 3 things that would make today great?
Each one becomes a task at the top of today's list, marked in gold, so your morning page turns into your plan. If you already have that task open, Foreday uses it instead of making a copy, and the next day the gold is gone.
Does the AI read my journal?
In two places, and you can switch both off. The Insight card reads your last 14 days of Morning and Night lines to find patterns, like the same better line coming back night after night (Settings, Journal, AI insight from my journal). And when you ask the AI helper a question, it reads the few notes that match it, journal notes included (Settings, Notes, Helper reads notes). With them off, the Insight uses only your habits and your morning tasks. The 3 great things are tasks, so like every task their text is used to sort your list. There are no ads, nothing is sold, and the AI service is set to use only providers that do not train on your data or keep it.
Can I find old entries?
Yes. Every day you write in also becomes one note in Notes, in a Journal folder sorted by month, and Notes search finds it. It opens read-only there, with a button that takes you to that day on the Habits tab to edit it. You can download everything, or delete it, in Settings.
What does it not do yet?
No photos or mood scores in entries, no voice typing on the journal pages, and you cannot change the questions. It also needs an internet connection. If you want long free-form diary pages with pictures, a dedicated diary app fits better for now; Foreday's journal is the short, daily kind.
How much does it cost?
The journal is part of Foreday, with tasks, notes, habits and the AI helper: one plan, $14.99 a month after a 7-day free trial. A card is needed to start the trial, and you can cancel any time in Settings.
Is there an iPhone app?
Not in the App Store yet. Foreday works in your phone's browser today, and you can add it to your Home Screen so it opens like an app. On iPhone, the morning and night reminders arrive once it is on your Home Screen.
